The Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm will consist of 50 wind turbines and generate enough renewable energy to supply 475.000 households.
The project is owned by Iberdrola. Our client, Van Oord, is responsible for the transportation and installation of the foundations and ensure the supply, transport and installation of inter-array cables
The wind farm is located 75 kilometres off the coast of Rugen Island. Once fully operational, it has a capacity of 476 MW and will save nearly 1 million tonnes of carbon dioxide annually. The wind farm is scheduled to be fully operational by the end of 2024.
