What mechanical engineers do
Mechanical engineers are experienced in quality assurance and quality control and are often hired to supervise the manufacturing process. They ensure the overall quality of a manufactured product throughout the whole commissioning process, bot on- and offshore. For instance, by devising quality tests, defining the criteria that a test result should meet and create documentation. They work together with various stakeholders on a project. Such as with design teams, suppliers of the manufacturing team. You mostly see mechanical engineers in the role of manager, coordinator and inspector on any of our project.
They often gained their technical skills in the oil and gas, nuclear or petrochemical industry. Since the advent of wind energy, our professionals have also gained experience in this field. Most of the work is similar compared to the other mentioned industries, such as checking procedures, field inspections and drawing up reports.
