Project management is about making sure your project is managed the way you want it to be managed and avoiding surprises.
What project managers do
Our project managers use methodologies of project management to create a plan that defines the tasks, milestones, resources allocation and deliverables necessary to meet the stakeholders’ requirements. They pay special attention to the schedule and budget during the project so the project stays within the framework. In order to achieve this, they work closely with other departments, for instance, operations, contract and finance.
Advantages of hiring
Hiring project managers will ensure that someone maintains a helicopter view of the project. This also means that they can identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. In general, a project manager is involved in a project from the first to the last phase, where other people only support the project in certain phases. This makes them experts on their projects. They also ensure that the planning is monitored and that all the individual components of the project remain on schedule and do not incur additional costs.
Our project managers work from offices and sometimes from home on different projects. Occasionally they travel to domestic and international sites if their project requires them to.
Essential skills
Project managers are organised, have good attention to detail and are analytic. They also have strong IT skills in MS office. For instance, with Outlook, Excel and Word but also proficient typing skills. They also combine this with their ability to look at things with an overview and have excellent communication skills.
